Academic Half Day: Upper GI Bleed
/Academic Half Day will be covering upper GI bleed. To prepare, you should read the NEJM on ulcer bleeding and the ASGE on endoscopy in variceal bleeding.
That being said, there is so MUCH great information about upper GIB out there. If you are interested and have the time, also included are the ACG guidelines on ulcer bleeding (written by the author as the NEJM article but more comprehensive), an NEJM article on transfusion in GIB, a review on PPI bolus vs continuous, and AASLD guidelines for UGIB with varices.
