Get Plugged In

The first step to starting and completing any project is discovering what opportunities UC has to offer. Set up a meeting with our residency research director, Dr. Schauer. He will advise you on the process of developing projects, and connect you to research resources and mentors. His department also helps track the progress of projects and get travel for conferences funded.

Email Jillian Nolte (Noltejn@ucmail.uc.edu) to schedule a meeting with Dr. Schauer. He also has office hours: Tues 1pm - 3pm and Thursday 10am - Noon

Find a Mentor

A solid mentor is a vital part of any residency research project. Once you have identified a interest you will need to reach out to find a mentor (Dr. Schauer can help with this as well). Check out the links below for a list of possible mentors by department as well as expectations for the mentor-mentee relationship when working on a project together.
