Interest in public health? - Bridging Medical Gaps Collaboration (BMGC), a non-profit dedicated to bridging the gap between the public health and medical professions through policy, networking, communication, and collaboration to improve health equity. They are hosting the 1st annual conference on September 18, 2021 from 9am – 6:30pm featuring many leaders in healthcare, including guests from the Pulitzer Center, NPR, Mayo Clinic, MGHI, University of California Global Health Institute, and CDC. We will stream the conference in MSB 2351 for those who only have an hour to stop in or would like to share the experience with colleagues. Register here. The Drake SNF/LTAC/IPR mix-up - much confusion about which of the various parts of Drake are considered UC health facilities. Drake SNF = UC Health Drake LTAC = UC Health Drake IPR = Encompass (aka NOT a UC health facility). This is important for discharge med reconciliations. For discharges to Drake SNF/LTAC you must use the “Discharge to UC Health Facility” tab. We will continue to remind you about this since it is impossible to remember. Lung Cancer Symposium - Save the Date! On 11/6 The UC Cancer Center is hosting a lung cancer symposium at GNI from 7:30AM to 12 PM.
