2018-19 Flu/TB and Requirements—MUST BE DONE BY EVERY RESIDENT BY 5 pm 12/10/18

Annual Flu vaccinations and TB tests will be available during the months of October and November. Flu vaccinations and TB tests are required for ALL residents, regardless of start date.

Residents and Fellows will have the following vaccination and TB test options:

Resident Lunches:
Tuesday 10/9 and Tuesday 11/13– 10:45 am to 1:15 pm
UCMC Across from Starbucks:
Tuesday 10/2 10 am to 2 pm
Tuesday 10/9 11 am to 1:30 pm (Benefit Fair)
Friday 10/12 10 am to 2 pm
B Pavilion, Room 1107:
Mondays 10/15-11/26 9 am to 3 pm
Tuesdays 10/16-11/27 9 am to 3 pm
Fridays 10/19-11/30 (closed 11/23) 9 am to 3 pm
Associate Health and Wellness at the UC Health Business Center, A Level (South Entrance), 3200 Burnet:
Mondays-Thursdays 6:30 am to 5 pm

Long Blockers need to finish wet prep training by next week.

UC Health is offering ALICE Active Shooter / Armed Intruder Trainings.
The one-hour course will provide information about hands-on techniques to employ during Code Silver active shooter / armed intruder events. These events at a healthcare facility present unique challenges. There is no "best" method to respond to an active shooter event, but prior planning and ALICE training can provide options for healthcare professionals with the goal of maximizing lives saved. If you would like donate, the UC location of Hoxworth Blood Center is open Wednedays 10:30AM - 6PM and Thursdays 11:30AM - 7PM. You can call to schedule an appointment at (513) 451-0910. There has been an increase in the number of cases of Hepatitis A around Cincinnati recently with a couple healthcare providers contracting the virus, so please do what's right and wash your hands frequently. If you are not immune to Hep A and would like to get vaccinated, you can: the vaccine costs a little over $100 and is available at most clinics.

Please remember: Do not take patients outside

Tunneled Lines must be removed by IR and cannot be removed on the floor by IM residents or nurses
